3 months in to the project and things are moving quickly. As you can see from the latest pictures below, the roof is on, internal walls have been erected and wiring work has been done.

It is just under four weeks since the old hall was demolished, and building work on the new hall is well under way. The foundations have been laid and the steel frame of the hall has been erected, giving some sense of how big the new hall will be.

Watched by a small crowd, the digger moved in at 8am and took just 90 minutes to completely flatten the old hall.
The site will now cleared in preparation for the foundations to be laid and the new hall to be built, which is expected to take around 16 weeks. You can keep up to date with the building work by checking this site which will be regularly updated with the latest news and information.
